FACE A FACE 06 ID&KYC Improving everyday life, digital identity for people childhood, health, online
The work carried out by the Human Technology Foundation and Project Liberty working group focuses on four verticals: child protection, health, online voting and responsibility in the creation of synthetic content.
Minors are increasingly exposed to considerable online harm, and sometimes life-threatening danger. It is imperative to use digital identity to protect the most vulnerable.
Health data is sensitive, and its governance can be tricky. Health data must be accessible to the medical profession in an emergency, but must also respect individual rights. Digital identity must therefore contribute to meeting these challenges.
Online voting should be seen as an alternative means of increasing accessibility and inclusiveness in the democratic arena. However, some major risks concerning online voting systems are currently unmanaged.
Finally, the emergence of generative artificial intelligence and its democratization raise a large number of questions in several areas, notably concerning the treatment and ownership of intellectual property rights relating to the data used to generate synthetic content. Digital identity makes it possible to trace the origin of fraudulent content.
