The e-wallet is intended to be a useful tool for consumers, for both digital services and transactional
management. This is also a fundamental dimension of wallet adoption in the private sector. What user
experiences are emerging from the European Pilots, and for what uses? Will the European Wallet be competitive
with its rivals and alternatives? Will the interface be sufficiently simple and intuitive?
Will transactions be fast and secure? Will information be clear and easy to understand? How will they
be used in different sectors: healthcare, transport, payment, financial services or others? How will digital
wallets transform electronic transactions and redefine access to digital services? How do existing
transaction ecosystems, such as banking, postal or telecom networks, plan to integrate or adapt to
these new developments?
