NEW TRENDS – Estonia and Québec : Together for a digital future
Estonia is recognized as a world leader in digital government transformation. All public services are now digital and interoperable. The data exchange solution used, X-Road, is open-source software, and it’s development is provided by the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS). In North America, Québec was the first to put in place a Ministry of Cybersecurity and Digital Technology to accelerate the government’s digital transformation, notably through the programme du service québécois d’identité numérique (SQIN). New services now use SQIN, notably in healthcare and transportation. This panel will provide an opportunity to review the Quebec and Estonian approaches to digital transformation. International collaboration as a lever for digital transformation will also be discussed.

Montreal Convention Center hosted a major cybersecurity event on October 25 & 26, 2024, centered around the theme « Cybersecurity in the age of AI ». This third edition brought together 3200 participants, 200 partners and 300 speakers, creating a priceless platform for exchanges and discussions on the critical issues of cybersecurity and digital trust.
