TR01 INCYBER What future for international cooperation
International cooperation is developing successfully, with Operation Endgame being a notable recent example. However, many challenges remain in addressing the reluctance of certain countries and, at times, businesses, as well as the rapid evolution of technologies and increasingly sophisticated attacks. Key issues include harmonizing legislation, sharing sensitive information, training investigators, impro- ving investigation techniques, and allowing investigation teams to operate directly in other countries. Can collaboration between agencies be extended to include public and private CERT and CSIRT teams? What alternative solutions exist to the requests made under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT)? What are the guidelines for communication and the exchange of electronic evidence?
