Data classification has so far been an essential prerequisite for any data protection approach, data leak/ loss prevention (DLP), and regulatory compliance. Given the development of AI, is this task, which is par- ticularly tedious and complex, still indispensable? If not, can this process be fully or partially automated? Can AI help meet the need to process large volumes of data while achieving the necessary granularity for the application of differentiated security policies? What are the best practices in this area? What technolo- gical solutions should be considered?
